Can I use Productivity Workbench without a full hierarchy?
Yes. On the Free tier you work at the Feature and Story level only. On Business and Enterprise you can configure your hierarchy level in Admin → Agile Settings — you don't have to use Vision and Outcomes if they don't suit your team.
Is my data isolated from other organisations?
Yes. Every workspace is isolated at the data layer — all reads and writes are scoped to your workspace ID. No data is shared between workspaces.
Can I import my backlog from Jira?
Jira integration is available on the Enterprise tier. Features and Stories can be synchronised from a configured Jira project. Configuration is done in Admin → Integrations.
How do I move to a higher tier?
Create an Organisation and subscribe from its Billing & Account page: choose Business or Enterprise, say how many people you are buying for, and pay by card — no sales contact needed. The Pricing page has the prices and how billing works. There is no trial on a paid plan, because the Free plan is how you try the product. Your data and configuration carry over automatically — there is no migration needed.
Can I have multiple workspaces on the Free tier?
No. The Free plan is one workspace for up to 20 people and one studio for one developer. On Business and Enterprise your Organisation can hold as many workspaces and studios as you need: you pay for people, not for projects.
What happens to data if I downgrade?
Your data is retained. When a subscription ends the Organisation is archived and its workspaces and studios return to the Free limits. Pages and features not included in the Free plan are hidden, and anything over a Free limit is read-only until it is brought within it. Nothing is deleted, and subscribing again reinstates the same Organisation with everything in it.
Is there a dark mode?
Yes. Go to Admin → Branding and choose one of the dark presets (e.g. "Geeky"). Branding is workspace-level and applies to all members.
Where can I get support?
Free tier: community support via the GitHub Issues page. Business: email support during business hours. Enterprise: priority support with a named contact and SLA.

How do I export my data?
You can export most entities as CSV or Markdown from their respective pages (Features, Stories, Reports). For a full workspace data export — including audit logs and settings — contact support. A self-service export tool is on the roadmap.
Can I delete my account and all associated data?
Yes. Go to Admin → Security and use the Delete Workspace option to permanently remove all workspace data. To delete your user account entirely, contact support — your account and all associated personal data will be erased within 30 days in accordance with GDPR/UK DPA.
Can multiple people use the same workspace simultaneously?
Yes. Workspaces are multi-user. All members see the same data in real time (subject to browser refresh). Role-based access control limits what each member can view or edit — configure this in Admin → Access Matrix.
Do I need to know SAFe to use Productivity Workbench?
No. SAFe features are entirely optional and only appear at the Enterprise tier. You can run standard Scrum or Kanban workflows without any SAFe knowledge. Enable SAFe features via Admin → Agile Settings → Hierarchy Level when your organisation is ready.
How does Jira synchronisation work?
When Jira integration is enabled (Admin → Integrations), Features map to Jira Epics and Stories map to Jira Issues. Synchronisation is bi-directional: status changes in either system are reflected in the other within minutes. Fields that exist in one system but not the other are not overwritten. Configure which fields sync and which are Productivity Workbench-only in the integration settings.
Can I connect GitHub to track pull requests and commits?
Yes. GitHub integration links Stories to pull requests via the story ID in the branch name or PR title (e.g. feature/PW-123-short-description). PR status and merge events appear on the story popup. Configure this in Admin → Integrations → GitHub. Business+
What PI length should I use for SAFe?
Scaled Agile recommends 8—12 weeks (4—6 sprints + 1 IP Iteration). Most teams start with 10 weeks (4 × 2-week sprints + 1 × 2-week IP Iteration). Configure PI length in Admin → Agile Settings → SAFe Configuration. Enterprise / SAFe
Can I use AI features without exposing my code to third-party providers?
Yes. The AI Product Studio supports BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) — connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or Azure OpenAI account. Productivity Workbench proxies AI calls through our AWS Lambda API so your provider key stays server-side, encrypted with a dedicated AWS KMS key (never in the browser). Prompt content and relevant workspace/studio context are sent to your chosen provider under your account; they are not used to train Productivity Workbench models. For air-gapped models, use the Custom provider endpoint. Enterprise
