Terms of Use
Last updated: 9 October 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Productivity Workbench ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is operated by MDTS UK Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean MDTS UK Limited.
2. The Service
Productivity Workbench is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for product management and agile delivery. It provides tools for managing features, stories, sprints, team capacity, and related planning activities.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately at support@productivityworkbench.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' workspaces or our infrastructure
- Conduct automated scraping, crawling, or data extraction beyond normal use
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent
- Use the Service to develop a competing product
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service (features, stories, notes, templates, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the Service.
You are solely responsible for the content you store. We do not review user-generated content and are not liable for it.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, algorithms, workflows, and source code, is the exclusive intellectual property of MDTS UK Limited and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited right to use it as described herein.
7. Data & Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Workspace data belongs to the workspace owner. Multi-user workspaces are subject to the workspace owner's control. We act as a data processor for workspace content and a data controller for account data.
8. Subscriptions, Billing & Payment
8.1 Plans
The Service has a Free plan and two paid plans, Business and Enterprise. What each plan includes, and the current prices, are on the Pricing page. The Free plan has no charge and no time limit. It is limited to one workspace of up to 20 people and one studio for one developer. There is no free trial of a paid plan.
8.2 The Organisation
A paid plan is bought by an Organisation, which you create in the Service. The subscription covers every workspace and studio linked to that Organisation. The person who subscribes confirms that they have authority to commit the Organisation to the charges.
8.3 Seats
Paid plans are priced per person. You choose how many seats to buy. Each person who is a member of a workspace or a studio in the Organisation uses one seat, however many of them they belong to. A person cannot be added beyond the seats you have bought.
You can change the number of seats at any time. When you add seats, you are charged for the rest of the current billing period in proportion to the time left. When you remove seats, the difference is credited against your next invoice.
8.4 Billing period and payment
You can pay monthly, or yearly in advance. Payment is taken by card at the start of each billing period through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details. A subscription renews for the next billing period until you cancel it.
8.5 VAT
Prices are stated exclusive of VAT and any other sales tax, which is added at the rate that applies to you.
8.6 Failed payments
If a payment fails we will tell you and try again. If it remains unpaid, the subscription ends and section 8.9 applies.
8.7 Price changes
We may change the published prices. If a change would increase what you pay, we will give the owner of the Organisation at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from the start of your next billing period after the date given in the notice, and never part-way through a period you have paid for. A reduction may apply sooner. If you do not accept an increase, you may cancel before it takes effect.
8.8 Cancelling
You may cancel at any time from the Organisation's Billing & Account page. The subscription continues to the end of the billing period you have paid for and does not renew. We do not refund any part of a billing period that has started, except where the law requires it.
8.9 When a subscription ends
When a subscription ends, the Organisation is archived and its workspaces and studios become subject to the limits of the Free plan. Nothing is deleted. A workspace or studio that is over those limits becomes read-only until it is brought within them. Subscribing again restores the same Organisation. We keep an archived Organisation and its content until you delete it or your account is closed (section 11).
8.10 Negotiated contracts
We may agree a different rate, a minimum term and payment by invoice with an Organisation in writing. Where we have, the agreed terms apply in place of sections 8.4, 8.7 and 8.8 to the extent that they differ. The agreed rate is not affected by a change to the published prices during the term and is reviewed at renewal. The subscription cannot be cancelled before the minimum term ends. Invoices are payable within the agreed payment terms.
An Organisation on the Enterprise plan is also subject to the Enterprise Agreement.
9. Availability & Support
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Planned maintenance will be notified in advance where possible. We provide support on a best-efforts basis.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MDTS UK Limited shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits
- Losses arising from your use of third-party integrations
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100 (whichever is greater).
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. Cancelling a subscription is not deleting your account: section 8.8 covers cancelling, and section 8.9 what is kept afterwards.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
On termination, your access ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days to allow recovery, after which it will be permanently deleted.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the application or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
