Status Reference
A complete reference for every status value used across Features, Work Items, and Intake Requests.
Feature statuses
Draft
Initial state. The feature idea has been captured but is not ready for analysis. Discovery section may be incomplete.
In Analysis
Under investigation. The team is exploring the problem space, gathering evidence, and defining the scope. Discovery section is being completed.
Ready
Definition of Ready met. The feature is well-understood, scoped, and ready for development to start. All DoR checklist items completed.
In Progress
Active development. Stories from this feature are in the current or upcoming sprint. Development has started.
Done
Development complete. All stories delivered, DoD checklist met, acceptance testing passed. Not yet live.
Released
In production. The feature is deployed and available to users. Release notes published.
Work Item (Story) statuses
Backlog
Not yet planned. The story exists in the backlog but has not been assigned to a sprint.
Ready
DoR met. The story meets the Definition of Ready and can be committed to a sprint.
To Do
Sprint committed. The story is in the active sprint but work has not started.
In Progress
Being worked on. A team member has started the story.
Done
DoD met. The story is complete, tested, and meets the Definition of Done. Included in release notes.
Blocked
Cannot progress. A blocker is preventing work. Flag blockers immediately — they are surfaced in Daily Standup and the Sprint Board.
